There are some individuals whose appearance may be intimidating to those who are not familiar with their ways, whether it be a result of their an appealing physical attractiveness, or the stern countenance of their facial features. My Mother in law Josefina Abelardo bears a face, which to me exudes her personality. Her life has and is lived with a great faith in God. It is probably this faith that accounts for Mom's natural wisdom regarding life's trials and tribulations. After raising five children I'm sure Josefina's had plenty of experience at both.

    Mom has been both a tiger and a butterfly from my observation, for this reason I concluded that the Tiger Swallowtail (Pterourus glaucus) was a perfect illustration and fitting tribute to her, Josefina also loves butterflies. This fine lady herself may say as well as others, that I'm overstating my feelings. But what I say in response is without Mom I wouldn't have my Wife Lani and Daughter Skye, without whom I wouldn't have the wonderful life I now have. This one's for you Mom!
