SANITY

Words tumble in my head
Beyond all reason,
They join in unions of chaos.
I can’t find solace,
In the back of my mind,
Where sentences are made.
I lash loosely at blurred phantoms,Never sure if
they’re really there,
Hoping in some small way,
To deflect their taunting.
Relentlessly they are pursuing my sole.
Insecurity staggers forth,
From an anagram of fear,
Surrounding every cell I possess.
Fear tries to coral my thoughts,
Taking advantage of the panic
That keeps my mind in disarray.
